Nighthawk salutes the Bootleggers and Untouchables

Nighthawk Custom continues to make the occasional showcase pistol to highlight just what they can do in their Arkansas shop. In Nighthawk fashion, their latest creation is a .45ACP M1911A1 but it is not like anything else in their catalog. The Prohibition Nighthawk Custom 1911 is a unique handgun featuring both the good and bad effects of the 1920s Volstead Act on opposite sides, highlighted in 24K Gold and 999 Silver inlays.

The left side shows off “Roaring 20s” gangsters Al Capone, John Dillinger, and Lucky Luciano on the slide along with the Speakeasy “Cotton Club” in New York City and dancer Mildred Dixon, Duke Ellington’s Prohibition paramour.

Meanwhile, the right showcases T-agents Elliot Ness and Jimmy Malone of “Untouchables” fame along with smashed whisky barrels and Capone in handcuffs.

The whole thing comes in an ornate box crafted from a 300-year-old oak barn and lined with blue Alcantara leather. It also comes with two bottles of Cutty Sark Prohibition Edition whiskey. No price listed, because if you have to ask…
