The Browning Hi Power was killed off by FN in 2017, and all that did was that kick off a race by other companies to do it better and cheaper than the Belgians ever dreamed. Springfield introduced their $699 SA-35 variant (at the same time the Tisas Regent disappeared), while EAA started bringing in pallets of Girsan-made MCP35s from Turkey.
Well, since then EAA has introduced semi-custom models with accessory rails and flat-profile triggers and now has one that blends all that with a direct-mount optics cut with an RMS/RMSc footprint.
Dubbed the MC P35 OPS Optic, the $850 Turkish Hi-Power has a lot going on including an extended beavertail, fiber optic front sight, G10 grips, straight clean-break trigger, beveled magwell & windage/elevation adjustable rear sight, and an integrated accessory rail.
It drops the magazine disconnect safety to have a better trigger pull and it comes with an EAA-branded red dot sight factory installed.
