The Walther P99AS Final Edition

Walther introduced Horst Wesp’s P99 pistol in 1997 (nope, not 1999), and it proved a hit with lots of folks on both sides of the Atlantic ever since. The improved second-generation P99AS (Anti Stress) model was introduced around 2004, which included a double-action/single-action stageable trigger with an extremely short reset. Iconically, this included both Pierce Brosnan’s and Daniel Craig’s James Bond.

Well, with the gun showing its age, Walther has announced its P99AS Final Edition, a pistol that, true to its name, even has “Final Edition” engraved on its slide.
