SHOT Show News: S&W Debuts a 5.7mm Pistol (M&P 5.7 Anyone?)

Brett Curry, the guy who has designed most of Smith & Wesson’s M&P pistol series innovations in the past 15 years or so, in 2021 filed a patent on behalf of S&W for a gas operated rotary barrel action and pistol.

It turns out, on the eve of SHOT Show, that the patent was for a 5.7mm pistol that holds 22+1 rounds in its very slim and flush-fitting magazine.

We caught a glimpse of it at an event prior to SHOT Show and will have more details to follow very soon.
