Norma sets up operations in Savannah

Formed in Sweden in 1902, Norma is a well-known European ammo maker that in recent years has been acquired by Beretta along with RUAG and others. During the great ammo shortage in the past couple of years, Norma has shipped over 400 containers of ammunition from RUAG Ammotec factories in Europe to the U.S. and, after seeing the promised land, is setting up shop in Georgia.Georgia’s Gov. Brian Kemp last week announced Norma is establishing a manufacturing and operations center adjacent to the Port of Savannah. The Peach Tree state is already home to Bergara, Daniel Defense, Glock, HK USA, and Taurus while Remington announced a $100 million move to a new plant outside of Atlanta earlier this year.
