Illinois-based Springfield Armory debuted their 16+1 capacity 4.5-inch XD-M Elite series pistols in 10mm earlier in the year but the problem is they are only available in a standard black-on-black scheme. Well, that has changed as Springer now has a variant of the pistol with a slide finished in Magpul’s particular flavor (H-232) of OD Green Cerakote.
Now it is kind of a limited run– shipped through Sportsman’s Warehouse distributor system– which means it will be available in SW’s 130 or so stores and online to just about any local FFL who wants to accept it, which takes a little bit of that rare penny shine off the pistol. MSRP is $675.
