New (Affordable) Beretta Tactical Shotgun?

In other SHOT Show leaks, it appears that Beretta has been working on a more affordable tactical semi-auto 12 gauge than its well-liked but expensive ($1,300) Model 1301 series shotgun.

Lots of well-known names in the shotgun training game have been talking about this mysterious project and most thinking is that the new autoloading Beretta 12 will be based off the company’s popular A300 semi-auto, which can be had in sporting variants for around $750.

Take that, paint in black, then add a longer mag tube, some QD points, and Picatinny, and you may have a winner on your hands for those who don’t want to/cannot go four digits on a dependable tactical 12 with “Beretta” on the side of it.
