Introduced back in the 1990s along with the G26 in 9mm and the G27 in .40 S&W, the similarly sized Glock 28 was a double stack .380 that runs a modified blowback action. As it was made in Austria and too small for import under the ATF’s requirements for pistols, about the only way folks in the States could lay hands on the gun was if it were bought through LE channels, which was rare.
Glock didn’t really care that a handful of people in the states, mostly collectors, wanted to buy the G28 as the gun was principally made for consumer markets such as Mexico where anything larger is classified as a “military or police” round.
Well, to sate the legion of Glock fans hungering for a G28, Glock has made a limited run at their Georgia factory and is slowly releasing them into the wild.
However, reviews are super mixed, with James Reeves at TFB TV loving it, and Mr. Guns N Gear having it absolutely tank.
