Daniel Horner’s own M400 Goes into production

If you don’t know who Daniel Horner is, you have been living under a rock. The closest thing the country has to a gun ninja, Horner is probably the best multi-gun shooter in the world today without being hyperbolic.

After spending 12 years with the elite six-member Army Marksmanship Unit Action Team– most of that as a coach– he has been running and gunning with Team SIG for the past few years and has racked up something like 125 national and international wins. To be fair though, he was good even before he joined the Army, grabbing IDPA nationals when he was 16 and 17.

Anyway, enough about Horner the man, let’s talk about Horner’s gun.

Sig has been working with Horner to make a production version of his 3-gun race rifle, the aptly-named M400 DH3 (get it?). The M400-DH3 Rifle is a SIG Direct Impingement (SDI) aluminum frame rifle with a Cerakote Elite Titanium finish and the DH3 fully adjustable competition stock and a 2-stage adjustable Timney Daniel Horner signature trigger.

It comes standard with a 16-inch fluted stainless 223 Wylde barrel (for optimal 223REM or 5.56 performance) with a three-chamber compensator for recoil mitigation, low-profile 3-gun handguard with M-LOK slots for easy accessory attachment, ambidextrous controls including bolt catch/release, and ships with one 30-round magazine.
