Dan Wesson Heirloom 2022 1911 (and CZ Lions)

Showing they are still making at least some pistols, CZ-owned Dan Wesson is marketing a new “Heirloom” series 1911 pistol.

The Heirloom 2022 is a full-size Government Issue in .45 ACP and uses all-steel components for the frame, slide, and parts.

Running a standard 5-inch barrel, beavertail grip safety, and a commander-style hammer, it sports a Bronze PVD finish and scrollwork as well as black G10 grips. The price on the limited run of Heirlooms is $2,399.

Interestingly, CZ is also running a limited 100-pistol run of what they are calling “Order of the White Lion” edition CZ75s. The name comes from the Czech national animal, the lion.

In a salute to 2022, they will be blockchain-authenticated, with each using its own NFT. They are also hand-engraved, a very 19th-century throwback. No price on these, but if you gotta ask, right?
