More retro Federal ammo boxes

Last week we brought you the news that Minnesota-based Federal Ammunition is celebrating their 100th anniversary by reissuing retro Monark and Hi-Power branded shotgun shell boxes filled with modern Top Gun #8 shot 12 gauge loads.

Well, with that anniversary hitting a crescendo this week, they have added three rifle and two pistol ammo boxes to the festivities as well.

The Federal centerfire rifle packaging dates to 1963 but contain modern Federal Power-Shok equivalent in 30-30 Win ($32 for 20 round box), 30-06 Spring ($35), and 45-70 Govt ($62).

The .45 ACP Federal Monark Match features a 230-grain full metal jacket bullet while the Hydra-Shok uses a 230-grain Hydra-Shok jacketed hollow point bullet. The cost is gasp-worthy at $67 per box of $20. Welcome to 2022. No throwback pricing here.
